With the cost of living crisis still going strong, families everywhere are looking for ways to earn some extra cash to get through these particularly challenging times.
So parents will be pleased to know there are plenty of stores willing to actually PAY them to return their old products, ranging from Boots and Mac to H&M.
Whether you've got old tech lying around the house or empty makeup containers cluttering your cupboards, there's something for everyone to make use of here ...
The stores that'll PAY you to return your old products
1. John Lewis
As a John Lewis shopper, you can return empty cosmetic products to bag £5 off a beauty purchase in participating stores. Find out more about the John Lewis BeautyCycle Scheme.
And if you've got any John Lewis clothes you no longer wear, for every 5 you return that can be resold or recycled, you'll get £5 off a homeware or fashion purchase. Customers will need to spend a minimum of £20 on the same day to receive the reward. Here's all you need to know about the John Lewis FashionCycle Scheme.
2. Boots
Drop off 5 empty toiletry or makeup containers to a Boots store and you'll get £5 worth of points added to your Advantage Card, as long as you're spending £10 in the same transaction.
This applies to items that are tricky to recycle, like lipsticks or lotion pumps.
You can't take in items that can easily be recycled in your home like shampoo bottles.

3. Lush
Shoppers returning 5 empty black Lush pots will get a new face mask worth £10 in return – amazing!
What's more, if you give back empty and rinsed makeup packaging, clear plastic bottles and spray bottles you'll receive 50p off one of their full price products in store, or alternatively 5p knocked off a 10ml sample pot.
Just note that any credit you redeem from your recycled products needs to be used during the same day.

4. H&M
Are you an H&M shopper? You'll be pleased to hear for every bag of unwanted textiles and clothing you return to the store, you'll get £5 knocked off any £25 spend in return. And it doesn't just have to be H&M products, they can be any items of clothing, from any brand, and even in any condition!
Just make sure you're making your purchase on the same day you return your clothes.

5. MAC Cosmetics
Under the 'Back to Mac' scheme, you can give back five empty containers and get a lipstick worth £17.50 in return.
We'll be trying this out ASAP!
6. Schuh
Get your shoes from, er, Schuh? Take in an old pair of shoes for recycling and you'll get £5 off a purchase worth £25 or more.
What's more, the shoes don't even need to have been bought from Schuh originally – not bad!

7. M&S and Oxfam
If you've got old clothes lying around, returning them to Oxfam under the M&S 'Schwopping' scheme will get you a £5 M&S voucher in exchange. Your voucher can be redeemed against a £35 spend of clothing, homeware or beauty items.
The clothes you return don't all need to be from M&S, although at least one of your clothing or soft furnishing products must have an M&S label.
However, shoppers need to note the scheme doesn't work on any sale or clearance products.
8. Apple
Got an old iPhone or iPad? As an Apple customer, you can be paid big bucks for returning certain products, including up to £220 for an old iPad Mini. That's a great incentive to recycle unwanted tech!

Head to The Perfume Shop and nab 10% off your next purchase of perfume if you return old bottles on the same day of the transaction.
