The new Roblox game kids (and parents!) love

There’s a new game that encourages your child to get creative. And YOU can get involved too!

There’s no denying that screen time is a hot topic amongst parents. But did you know that experts say not all screen time is ‘equal’ and that actually the whole notion of screen ‘time’ is outdated?

It can be easy to fall into the trap of setting strict screen time limits with our children but child online safety expert Jessica Chalmers says it’s much more useful to consider what your child is doing on the screen than how long they spend on there.

'In a typical day, your child might play a game, then do some homework, they then might watch a bit of TV, they might speak to granny on a video call,' she says. 

'They then might read their Kindle, they're learning the piano but they're using an app to do that, and then it's family time they're going to watch a film.

'That's a lot of screen time. But actually there's pockets of wonderful quality screen time there.’
