What is the Aircurl?
The Aircurl, created by hair brand Mermade, is sold at Pretty Little Thing and Beauty Bay and is a hair tool that can be used on damp hair to achieve a salon-style blow out look.
Mermade explains: 'Suitable for dry or damp hair, simply wrap the hair around the barrel or clamp and roll the hair up and let the air set the curl. The clamp provides complete control to achieve waves, curls, ringlets or just mega volume.'
The tool isn't as damaging to your hair as your regular old hair curlers or straighteners either as it uses air rather that extreme heat to create the look.
Mermade said: 'Air styling technology allows hair to be curled at lower temperatures. It's healthier hair styling, and your mane will thank you for it!'
The company has made a name for itself too, with famous faces using Mermade products including Khloe Kardashian.

'Dyson who?'
The reviews on the Mermade website are overwhelmingly positive.
One comment read: 'I really love it! The curls last 2 -3 days and they give my hair volume and a really natural look. I get them done very quickly and my hair doesn’t get burnt.'
The happy customer added that this is different from any other curler they'd used before.
A second shopper said she's 'obsessed' with the Aircurl, commenting that the volume she gets from the Aircurl is 'sooo much more than a usual curling tong or hair dryer.'
A third simply put 'Dyson who?' and mentioned that her mum thought she'd been to the hairdresser. She added a photo of her curly locks explaining: 'photo is after a whole day'
While another said the Aircurl is 'literally a dupe of the Dyson air wrap' but that 'the Mermade one is so much lighter.'
'Looks awkward'
While most feedback is positive, one comment posted to a tutorial on Mermade's Instagram questioned: 'Looks awkward to use, either that or she’s making it look awkward.'
And another commented that, 'The instructions are 1-3 x times at 10 seconds each so it takes FOREVER. It also burns my scalp.'
Mermade replied stating they offer a 30-day money-back guarantee to anyone who doesn't love the product.
