A travel system is a pushchair that can have a car seat attached to its chassis.
This means you don't have to keep taking your baby out of the car seat and can move them from your car to the pushchair and back again - without having to risk waking them up them.
So it's a great investment if you travel frequently by car.
Many pushchair models have their own compatible car seat, which can often be bought as part of a bundle, or come with adaptors so you can attach one from a different brand.
Some travel system models have separate carrycots, while others have a convertible seat that can lie-flat for the newborn stage and tend to be a little cheaper.
