This free app helps track your periods and gives you in-depth information to help you learn about your body.
Clue, which is compatible with both iOS and Android phones, also charts when you ovulate and predicts your fertile days.
There is also a paid version with extra features including a more detailed look at your menstrual cycle.

2. Flo Period & Ovulation Tracker
Another popular free app is Flo Period and Ovulation tracker which has 30 million monthly users.
It claims to accurately track your period and also has an ovulation and fertility calendar. According to Flo, over nine million women have got pregnant using the app.
Flo uses artificial intelligence which it claims helps women with irregular periods track their fertile days, too.
3. Ovia Fertility & Cycle Tracker
Track your periods and receive predictions for when you ovulate with the free Ovia app.
It uses an algorithm to work out your fertile days. There’s also an online community you can join to chat with other women who are trying to conceive.
4. Fertility Friend
Fertility Friend tracks your period, notes your symptoms and helps you predict your fertile window with a colour-coded calendar.
It only takes a few minutes to enter your information every day, and the app promises to help you recognise your own most fertile times.
There’s also a paid-for premium version available.
5. Glow Cycle & Fertility Tracker
Glow is a free app that lets you chart your menstrual cycle.
However, it also asks you to input information about your daily health, including stress levels, alcohol intake, cervical position, your weight, mood and physical symptoms.
Glow will predict your fertility peaks as expected, but it also offers advice tailored to your body and lifestyle, which is a bonus.
6. Kindara Fertility & Ovulation
Kindara is another free app which lets you track your periods and claims to help you get to you know your body better
You can input information about your basal temperature and your cervical fluid to help find your fertile window.
7. Eve
Eve is a free app that is mainly designed to help you track your periods.
However you can also track your moods and symptoms to help the app predict the days you're most likely to get pregnant.
The app also gives you daily insights into women's health issues and fun quizzes.
8. My Days X — Ovulation Calendar & Period Tracking
A popular period and ovulation tracker is the My Days X app which is free on Android and iOS.
It's an easy-to-use tracking and prediction calendar for your period, ovulation and fertility.
You can chat to other users in the online community.
9. OvuView: Ovulation & Fertility
Ovu View uses so-called 'sympto-thermal' methods to help identify your most fertile days. This means you record your basal temperature, menstrual cycle and cervical fluids.
Using this data, the app then tracks and predicts your period, ovulation and fertility along with your weight, moods, appetite and symptoms.
It's free to use but is currenlty only available on Android.
10. Period Tracker
Also hugely popular with Netmums members is Period Tracker — the Lite version's free, or you can get extra features with the Deluxe version.

It also shows your moods, symptoms and most fertile days.
11. Natural Cycles
Natural Cycles was originally developed as a non-hormonal method of birth control. But it's now hugely popular as a fertility tracker.
The app uses an algorithm that analyses your basal temperature to predict your most fertile days.
You can do a free demo, but then there is a subscription charge.
12. Period Tracker Health Calendar
This free app has more of a simple and discreet interface, making it super easy to track your cycle and predict periods and fertile days.
You can log your temperature, weight, moods, symptoms, period duration, cycle length and even personalise the fonts to make it unique you.
13. Period Diary
Period Diary is a free app that has one of the more extensive symptom lists, with over 30 PMS symptoms and 20 moods available to track.
The info also syncs with your phone's calendar so you can see all of your period details in one place. Plus, the app is password protected and the icon is labelled P.D. for more subtlety.
14. Cycles
This is another free, minimalist tracker app that's designed to be shared with your partner so they can provide more emotional support during PMS.
You can add a passcode or FaceID to protect your privacy, and share your cycle privately with your partner. However, your notes are always private from them.
When you upgrade to premium use of the app, you can customise reminders for birth control, fertile days and periods.
15. Period Calendar
Period Calendar is a free app for any woman who's trying to conceive or is using birth control. It also monitors the fertile and ovulation window, Basal body temperature, and shows chances of pregnancy each day.
Plus, it comes with a reminder so you don't forget to take your pill.
16. My Calendar – Period Tracker
This is a free, standard period tracking app, whether you're concerned about conceiving, birth control and contraception, or period regularity.
Discreet reminders prepare you by saving essential period information like flow, intercourse, symptoms, moods, temperature, weight, medicine, PMS, other cervical observations.
17. PinkBird Menstrual and Ovulation Calculator
PinkBird is a popular, free app that's used by women in over 100 countries.
You can do all the standard logging of symptoms, but this app will also give you daily tips and a health assistant to help you understand your body better.
It even allows you to export your menstrual cycle data as a PDF to send directly to your doctor.
18. Life – Period Tracker Calendar
Although this app is free, is may be worth upgrading to premium to get the most out of it. You can track your period, moods and symptoms, predict your ovulation and schedule cycle reminders.
On premium, you can track more things like sex, fertility, weight, nutrition, fitness, sleep, medication and keep a diary.
19. myPill Birth Control Reminder
You might be able to tell this app is for women using birth control. It's great for helping you remember to take your birth control pill so your period doesn't get effected and you can plan check-ups with your doctor.
If you decide to try for a baby, it will be useful to have a log of how long you've taken the pill for and if you've had breaks from it.
20. Menstrual Period Tracker
Exclusively for Apple devices at the moment, this is another simple, free app that helps you keep track of your menstrual cycle.
They've designed it so that it fits seamlessly into your devices – it's integrated with the Health app and includes a Glance view for Apple Watch.
You can do a spotlight search to find notes, symptoms or even the date of your next period.

Femometer allows you to track key biological data that will help you get pregnant, for free.
You can easily identify your ovulation and fertile window, Luteinizing hormone levels, Basal body temperature and cervical mucous. There's conception guidance, daily insights and advice, too.
22. Ovulation Calculator
Ovulation calculator claims to help couples conceive up to three times faster than the national average. It calculates your two most fertile days by analysing your menstrual cycle, health and lifestyle data.
The free app is also handy for its education portal, where you can learn about fertility and have access to an online-support network of other women trying to conceive.
23. Paloma
Paloma is one of the more user friendly free apps. Your cycle phases are colour-coded to make it easier to see the changes happening, which is great if you have an irregular or unstable cycle.
It also has Health app integration so you can easily share tracking and details between the two apps. The latest medical articles about women's health, PMS, pregnancy, menopause and more are available on there, too, so you don't have to go looking for them.

This is a simple to use, free app with all the key bits you need to track your periods and fertility. If you have an irregular cycle, you can customise your personal period length and ovulation.
It also calculates your chance of pregnancy every day and has a pregnancy mode if you do get pregnant. Plus, there's a Google Account backup option so your details never get lost.
