Princess Aurora, also known as Briar Rose, is one of the original three Disney Princesses, but has been around as a character for a lot longer than you might think! She was first written about in the 16th Century (though she was originally called Zellandine), so she definitely counts as being from a book!
Just follow the three easy steps below, and you'll have your very own Sleeping Beauty this World Book day.
You'll need:
- Pink sundress
- A metre of pale pink material
- White t-shirt
- A metre of white material
- Princess crown or tiara
- Safety pins
Step 1
To make the overskirt, wrap the pale pink material around the dress, leaving a gap at the front. Sew or safety pin into place.
Step 2
Fold the white material in half and wrap it around the overskirt (with the open edges at the top). Sew or safety pin the top edge around the waist.
Step 3
Your child can wear the white t-shirt under the dress, and complete the look with a princess crown or tiara.
