So, what do you do when you've moved out of The Big Smoke at 32 weeks pregnant to a little village where you barely know a soul? You go to the loveliest little playgroup in Kent, where you make life-long friends for you and children, that's what! Shoreham Playgroup has been a lifeline for many parents, both those in the village and those from other places. Run by volunteer parents (including dads!), whose children go/have gone to the group, it is a warm and friendly place where your child can enjoy themselves whilst you indulge in a much-needed cup of tea and chat! Every week, along with a great selection of toys and play equipment, there is a different arts and craft activity for older children, and a quieter space for babies. Unlike other groups, it is relatively small in size and provides a calm environment, so more delicate personalities don't feel terrorised. There is also a healthy snack provided for rumbling tummies. The morning ends with a lovely story and song time, a delight for both parents and children. If you are looking for a place to meet some friendly, sympathetic faces and provide your child with stimulation and nourishment, Shoreham Playgroup is the place to go!

Shoreham village Pre School is a wonderful warm group of Mummies ,Nannies, Gran's and even Dads! A lovely seating area for babies and a massive area for tots to run around and play. A lovely cup of tea and healthy snack for the children. An exciting craft every week and story time plus sing songs towards the end of the session. I love starting my Monday going to this group x

Shoreham Village play group is such a warm and friendly group to attend. I was immediately welcomed and introduced to other parents. The facilities are great and a healthy snack is provided every week ! The playgroup is run by volunteers who spend so much of their free time ensuring that everyone is happy and well cared for (parents and children) plus they plan out craft activities and story time sessions for the children too ! Highly recommended and a lifeline for a lot of first time mums living in a sleepy village location.
