Located to the west of London, Reading is the county town of Berkshire and sits at the confluence of the Rivers Thames and Kennet.

There are plenty of things to do with kids in Reading and Berkshire.

Its major landmark is the Madejski Stadium, home of Reading FC and London Irish rugby club, making it a popular destination with sports fans. The town is also famous for the annual Reading Festival.

Many family-friendly activities are based around the Thames, including river cruises, canoeing, cycling and annual regattas and festivals, not to mention the River and Rowing Museum with its Wind in the Willows exhibition. The Hexagon Theatre hosts regular children’s performances and a Christmas pantomime.
