The truth is that it’s harder than ever for children to play outside. There are fewer green spaces than there used to be, and more cars on the roads.

Many of us worry about the threat of strangers, and, of course, there’s the lure of screens to entice kids away from the great outdoors.

But studies show that time being active outside improves children’s physical and mental health, and their performance at school.
