Our review
The latest (fourth to be exact as the name suggests) version of the popular all-terrain buggy still ticks all the boxes for parents wanting a nippy and robust three-wheeled model that can be used in both city and country. It’s particularly light for an all-terrain model and nippy enough to be handled easily, but has the sturdiness that will make off-roading a doddle, too. The Nipper also has the added flexibility of forming a travel system and it can also have a carrycot attached for extra newborn comfort, too.
But why are 3-in-1 travel systems so popular? Unlike a traditional pram they can be used in three different ways, firstly with a carrycot as a lie-flat pram for newborns, and also as a travel system by attaching a car seat to its chassis. This has the advantage of making travelling by car much more straightforward with a baby in tow, as you can move them from house to car and back again without have to pick them or disturb them. The Nipper is compatible with Maxi Cosi’s CabrioFix or Pebble car seats.
Once they’re bigger you can then move the 3-in-1 to its final configuration by removing the carrycot and attaching the pushchair seat. This means you can then use the seat well into the toddler years. The downside is that they tend to be pretty heavy and bulky, and you’ll also have to have space to store all the pieces you’re not using. Using a carrycot with the Nipper is not essential however, as the pushchair seat is suitable from birth.
The V4 is designed to be easy to push on all surfaces, with pneumatic tyres and a lockable 360-degree swivel front wheel. You also have the option to buy puncture-proof wheels if you prefer them to air-filled ones, or always make sure you carry a puncture repair kit if need be. It’s easy to fold, and although it’s slightly bulky when folded, removing the quick-release wheels reduces the size making it easier to transport and store.
There’s also a height adjustable handlebar, great for parents of differing heights, an easy lock pedal brake, plus we love the handy storage pockets on each side of the canopy and also the large shopping pouch perfect for stashing all your essentials. Included with the buggy is a hinged padded bumper bar, removable padded seat liner and rain cover.

Well-priced off road buggy that has the added practicality of converting to a travel system , too.
