We LOVE this idea!

UK parents have discovered the ultimate Christmas drinks hack – by using pre-made baby pouches in their homemade cocktails. And we're trying this one RN.

While it may sound a bit odd, the festive hack simply involves taking a fruit-flavoured baby pouch and adding it to your alcoholic drink. Yup, genius!

And while we're used to adding actual peach purée to our bellinis and strawberries to our daiquiris, fruit pouches work wonders as an alternative.

As well as being cheaper, many parents will also already have these pouches in the house – so they're even less of a hassle to make.

Curious as to how this nifty tip works? This TikTok reveals all.

'Important reminder that the mango and peach baby pouches are actually for the adults,' @babyledkitchenjo said on TikTok.

As the video shows, all you need to do is simply add a fruit-flavoured baby pouch into a tall glass and top with prosecco. Yup, that's it.

While peach purée and prosecco makes a tasty bellini, adding mango to the mix gives the drink a slightly different twist.

And this TikTokker isn't the only one to share the hack.

Another mum shared her top tip for making bellinis too.

And, as another mum told Yahoo, she too came up with the ingenious idea to add Ella's Kitchen peach pouches into her prosecco on a night off with friends.

Mum of two Eleanor Tracey told the publication:

'We thought we would use Ella’s peach pouches to pimp our Prosecco and make some Bellinis.'

She added:

'We’re not the first people to use these in alcoholic drinks and we certainly won't be the last.'

And while we won't say no to a bellini, there are plenty of other ways you can use baby food pouches to make cocktails.

Since experimenting with the delish cocktail, Eleanor has also branched out to making strawberry vodka cocktails, using the brand's strawberry pouch, vodka, tonic water, sugar syrup and mint, as well as pear martinis, using pear pouches, gin and vermouth.

What a FAB experiment!

Meanwhile a blackcurrant and apple pouch would be the perfect addition to this berry mocktail.
