Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre is home to the Lovell telescope, A place for children to explore the world of space, the wonders of the universe, and the workings of the giant telescope. There are regular events for families , and a cafe.
There are also some gardens including an arboretum to visit.

FIRST LIGHT AT JODRELL BANK
Discover our newest building, the First Light Pavilion. This stunning new addition includes a state-of-the-art permanent exhibition on the history of Jodrell Bank. It's also home to our Space Dome -an immersive auditorium, and the First Light cafe complete with terrace overlooking the Jodrell Bank Arboretum.

Planetariums

All visitors will also be able to experience a vivid Dome Show in our custom built auditorium, complete with a curved projection screen and an impressive 9 digital projectors.

The state-of-the-art auditorium will offer every visitor an immersive audio-visual experience with a specially commissioned short film about the story of Jodrell Bank. Audiences looking for a more traditional planetarium show can add on a 30 minute session which takes in the beauty and wonder of the night sky, guided by one of our Explainers.

Cafés

Pop by The Planet Cafe for some delicious food and drink, served a view of the mighty Lovell Telescope.
