Things to do with kids in Isle of Man

The Isle of Man, in the Irish Sea, has been inhabited since 6500BC. Over the years, it has alternated between English and Scottish rule, but is now self-governed and fiercely independent.

If you’re looking for things to do with kids in the Isle of Man, you’ll find plenty to keep them entertained, ranging from baby activities for newborns through to toddlers to brilliant venues for children's parties, such as petting farms, indoor play centres and outdoor karting.

Exploring the great outdoors is a must, with 100 miles of beautiful coastline to enjoy, from rugged cliffs to sweeping sandy beaches.

There are also many famous landmarks to discover, such as the four-tiered Tynwald Hill, Laxey Wheel – the largest working waterwheel in the world – and the Manx Electric Tram.

There are a number of parks with family-friendly facilities like boating lakes, BMX tracks and crazy golf, plus soft play centres, adventure playgrounds and regular car boot sales where your child can spend their pocket money.

If your child is a budding astronomer, the island is the perfect place for stargazing, with dark, wide-open skies. The Isle of Man is also home to the annual TT motorbike races and the distinctive tailless Manx cat!
