Spicy chicken wraps for kids
Homemade tortilla wraps with spicy chicken filling

Homemade tortilla wraps
175g plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
7 tbsp cold water
1 tbsp olive oil
For the spicy chicken filling
2 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp cumin
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp olive oil
2 chicken breasts, sliced
1 red pepper, deseeded and sliced
Lettuce
Cherry tomatoes, halved or quartered
4 tbsp plain yoghurt
For the homemade wraps
Mix all the wrap ingredients together and knead for 5 minutes
Cover with a damp cloth and leave for 1/2 an hour
Divide into 6 and roll out very thinly
Cook for 1 minute each side on a hot frying pan. Put aside while you prepare the chicken.
For the spicy chicken
Mix all the spices, sugar and salt together in a grinder or mini blender.
Add the olive oil to a large non-stick frying pan over a medium-high heat. Add the spice blend and fry for 1 minute before adding the chicken strips and pepper strips.
Stir to coat everything in the spice mix, and then cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the peppers are softened and the chicken is cooked through and golden.
Added extras
Add a lettuce leaf, some cherry tomato pieces and a drizzle of yoghurt to each wrap. Add the chicken strips and peppers to the middle, roll up the wraps and serve.
