How to make a cat costume
1.
First make your cat ears using a headband, pipe cleaners and some self-adhesive felt.
They are so so easy to make.
2.
Now stuff a black fluffy sock or pair of tights with cotton wool or tissue paper to make your tail.
A wool tassle at the end adds to the fun.
3.
Cut a large pink oval from felt and use a glue gun or fabric glue to stick it onto a black top.
Then your child just needs to wear black leggings and black gloves to complete the look.
4.
A purrrrfect dressing up outfit.
If you're thinking of World Book Day, this cat costume could be adapted to be Mog, Gobbolino, Crookshanks, The Cheshire Cat or make a stripey hat to make it into The Cat in the Hat.
You'll need:

This is the super quick and easy no sew version. If you want your costume to last longer then sew the pink belly in place and use material rather than felt (as it can withstand washes).
