If you're a seriously sleep-deprived parent (we feel your pain!), it might seem as though your baby isn't sleeping much at all. But how much sleep should your little one really be having?

The National Sleep Foundation has created an infographic showing how much sleep your baby - and you! - needs, depending on age.

And this means since previous research, the hours of sleep a newborn needs has narrowed from 12-18 hours a day to 14-17 hours in a 24 hour period.

For babies aged 4-11 months, it has widened to 12-15 hours a day - previously it was 14-15 hours.

For adults, the recommended amount of sleep is 7-9 hours a day. Which, as our sleep survey found, more than half of you aren't getting.

However it's important to remember, all babies and children are different. The chart below details minimum and maximum ranges of sleep, as well as 'recommended' amounts of sleep.
