As kids go crazy about Prime, and a new Prime Energy flavour launches (initially only available in the U.S.), a question on the lips of a lot of parents is: How many flavours of Prime are there and what are they?

It's an important question, since getting the right flavour is VERY important ... as many parents know.

'My children will do anything to get their hands on their favourite flavours, which includes swapping with each other and swapping with friends, and even buying the drinks off each other,' reveals Joanna Lovell, an associate editor here at Netmums and mum to a daughter, aged 10, and a son, aged 12.

The good news for Jo, and some mums like her, is that the 2 have different preferences. 'Interestingly, they both prefer different flavours, so they don't fight for the same one.'

And the surprising twist: 'Neither of them want the red bottle, Tropical Punch,' she says. 'That's the one that gets left in our fridge.'

Her daughter's favourite is Meta Moon. Her son's favourite is Blue Raspberry.

'There's definitely a hierarchy,' Jo says – not just in terms of fans' personal preference but also in terms of overall popularity.

How many Prime flavours are there?

Prime has flavours in its 2 different lines of drinks.

Prime Hydration is a sports drink and is available here in the UK and in the US. There are 9 regular Prime Hydration flavours, including the latest one, Lemonade.

Prime Energy is an energy drink and is available only in the US via mainstream retailers. There are 5 regular Prime Energy flavours.

In addition to the regular flavours there are limited edition ones – scroll down for more info. And the influencers behind the brand KSI and Logan Paul have promised that more flavours will debut soon.

What are the popular Prime flavours?

So as a Prime observer, how do you know what's hot now?

'You can tell there's a hierarchy when you go to the shops, because the Tropical Punch is always left on the shelves. But that might be because it's been available for the longest.'

Here, the flavours of Prime and what the bottles look like.

What are all the Prime flavours?

Prime Hydration Sports Drink – regular flavours

  • Tropical Punch - red bottle

Prime Energy flavours

The energy drink version of Prime, which features caffeine unlike the bottles of Hydration, comes in a similar range of flavours. Prime Energy comes in cans rather than bottles. The following versions are listed on Prime’s US website. Currently Prime Energy is NOT available via major supermarkets in the UK but some people do buy it via Amazon, eBay or other retailers.

  • Strawberry Watermelon – pink can
  • Blue Raspberry - turquoise can
  • Tropical Punch – bright red can
  • Orange Mango – bright orange can
  • Lemon Lime – lime green can

Plus there is a limited edition flavour and bottle that's gotten some people excited ....

Limited Edition Hydration

As for parents, Jo articulates her opinion:

'The limited edition ones, don't even get me started on those!'
