Hey Chloe,
Great thread! Gives me a lot on inspiration, on a personal note when it comes to keeping my children occupied, we love to mix things up, we're a very adventure seeking family so walks, parks and baking are a perfect mix.
We all try to be creative in different ways in the holiday, so it's great reading other peoples little activities :)
This is what I do with my children:
Give them colouring books
Make thier dad take them out lol xx
hello! Yes, we usually do some kind of crafts, drawings, experiments. But my life hack will be about the morning shower) I just love nespresso and their coffee machines - because children are delighted with capsules and they like that you need to insert a capsule, watch the foam pour, then take out the capsule and study its crumpled shape. So it kills 2 birds with one stone: my husband and I do not waste time on morning coffee and I can safely take a shower while the children are busy.
I ask my kids to help me with either finding pictures for Christmas smartshow 3d videos or decorating slides. That keeps them entertained for a long time and sometimes even too much. We do these videos instead of cards and send our relatives, and kids love helping with the process.
I wholeheartedly agree with this approach! Weekly mini-adventures are such a brilliant way to break up the routine and create lasting memories. We also try to do something similar with our family – it's amazing how a day trip or a weekend getaway can completely refresh everyone's minds and spirits. Any tips on finding interesting destinations for these occasional journeys? We're always looking for new ideas!
