Dior launches new BABY skincare, with a cleansing routine costing £485

The luxury brand is encouraging parents to cleanse their baby's skin with an £80 cleansing foam. There's also a £230 cleansing water!
If you've been wondering what to get your baby for Christmas, you've probably been thinking about things like bouncers, books or cuddly bears.
Treating your baby to luxury skincare probably hasn't even crossed your mind.

'Combining gentleness and poetry'
Fashion brand Dior – which is known for its high-end clothing and premium makeup – has released their Bonne Étoile Scented Water and the Baby Dior skincare collection.
There's a £230 scented water, £80 cleansing foam and baby moisturiser for £90.
Dior says: 'Discover the wonder of Bonne Étoile Scented Water and the Baby Dior skincare collection.
'Creations for babies and children, with enchanting worlds and formulas that combine gentleness and poetry to protect their delicate skin.
'Baby Dior, the line for babies and children, is now available in a collection for the bath.'
A hefty price tag
If you wanted to get full range, you'd be shelling out a massive £485 for your baby to have a 3 step skincare regime.
'L'Eau Très Fraîche, La Mousse Très Fondante and Le Lait Très Tendre: a true childhood tale, told by three skincare products that are gentle on the sensitive skin of little ones’ faces and bodies.' says Dior about the new skincare range.
'Each pastel blue, green and pink pump bottle is embellished with an original Toile de Jouy design by Cordélia de Castellane that features fantastical animals and lavish vegetation to bring the childlike spirit of Dior to life.'

Bonne Étoile Scented Water

Bonne Étoile is a scented water for babies and children from Baby Dior, with notes of pear, wild rose and white musk.
How to use
Dior say: 'For optimal use of Bonne Étoile, spray the scented water on the child's neck or in their room. Do not apply to damaged skin. Do not spray toward the face and eyes.'
La Mousse Très Fondante Gentle Bath Cleansing Foam

Using a gentle formula this product is a cleanser for your baby's face, body and hair. It's scented like pear and is suitable for sensitive skin.
How to use
Dior say: 'La Mousse Très Fondante is the first step in the Baby Dior bath routine. Apply the mousse to baby’s or child's damp skin, massaging gently to create a lather. Rinse with water, then dry gently.
'After the bath, apply Le Lait Très Tendre to the skin and finish with a few drops of Bonne Étoile Scented Water.'
Le Lait Très Tendre Daily Moisturising Milk

this body milk is designed to keep your baby's skin super soft, and it's lightly scented with orchard pear, too.
How to use
Dior say: 'An indispensable step in the Baby Dior skincare routine, Le Lait Très Tendre can be used throughout the day on its own, or after applying Baby Dior L’Eau Très Fraîche for daily cleansing touch-ups. The milk can also be used after bathing, once skin has been cleansed with Baby Dior La Mousse Très Fondante.
'Apply the hydrating milk with gentle massaging motions to penetrate the skin of the baby or child. Finish the ritual with a few drops of Bonne Étoile scented water.'
L'Eau Très Fraîche

L'Eau Très Fraîche is a no-rinse, soothing cleansing water for babies and children, which can be used to refresh and clean skin whenever needed.
How to use
Dior say: 'Apply L'Eau Très Fraîche with gentle massaging motions, without rinsing, using a small, soft massage glove or cotton pad. Allow baby’s skin to dry thoroughly before applying other skincare products or dressing.
'At the end of the routine, apply Baby Dior Le Lait Très Tendre and end with a few drops of Bonne Étoile scented water.'
It's a lot of money to drop on baby skincare, but we will admit the bottles look lovely and Dior will even gift wrap the products for you too.
That said, we think we're going to keep our fingers crossed for an Aldi dupe of this range...
