HELP! 6mo buries her head during tummy time

My (almost) 6mo has suddenly started to bury her face during tummy time. She has always enjoyed tummy time and since about 1 week ago, she was keeping her head up the whole time however, she has suddenly started this burying her face into her mattress or playmat, not only am I worried about her suffocating (I NEVER leave her unattended) I am also worried this could be a sign of something more serious? Could it be an early sign of autism?
She Is able to roll from back to front and will always do this as soon as I put her on her back and has been doing so since 4 months.

Your LO sounds like she is doing really well. Tummy time is something many LO's enjoy. It sounds like you have really built this into her routine which is great.
I would not worry at all about what she is doing. It is very possible that she has just learned this new skill and is doing it over and over as she enjoys the sensation.
Is there anything else you are worried about with her developmentally?
If you would like to have her checked over you could give your own HV a ring next week to chat through your worries too if that would also help.
