Is this normal or the start of a miscarriage

Hello,
My partner is nearly 6 weeks since start of last period, and we got a positive test on Christmas Day.
Yesterday afternoon, she noticed some blood on her pad. This worried us, but the prenatal clinic won't advise as it is too early, and the GP just says wait and see. So I'm wondering if this is normal?
There were around three smears of pinkish red blood yesterday afternoon, then light pink discharge when she wiped for the next few hours. Then one more smear on the pad, then it stopped.
This morning, nothing. Although this afternoon we are wondering if there is a slight tinge to the discharge again?
Attaching four photos. Two heavier ones are from yesterday. Two lighter ones from today.
Any experiences?
Hi John,
Just to offer a bit of official information...
The NHS says: "Bleeding during pregnancy is relatively common and does not always mean there's a problem [...] In early pregnancy, you might get some harmless light bleeding, called "spotting". This is when the developing embryo plants itself in the wall of your womb. This type of bleeding often happens around the time your period would have been due." https://www.nhs.uk/pregnancy/related-conditions/common-symptoms/vaginal-bleeding/
However, they also say that bleeding in early pregnancy can sometimes be a "dangerous sign".
You should always mention any vaginal bleeding during pregnancy to your midwife asap. Chances are there's nothing wrong, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. If there is a problem, getting medical advice sooner rather than later is the safest thing for you and your baby.

Thanks, appreciate your reply. Was hoping for somebody who might have had a similar experience to let me know how that turned out, but seems these forums aren't as active as they were a few years ago. Thanks again for taking the time to write an answer.

Hey how did things turn out - I’ve had bleeding in all my pregnancies 4 for which were miscarriages or ectopic but two were during healthy pregnancies including my current one where I’m 20 weeks. I’d say it’s probably been a bit more implantation if it didn’t get any heavier

Hey
Well, so far the pregnancy symptoms have continued, the bleeding never got any heavier, and we are just kinda crossing our fingers now until the 12 week scan, hoping for good news.
The only reason I don't think implantation bleeding would have caused it, is because that normally happens arpund 2 weeks after ovulation, doesn't it? We were around 3.5 weeks after ovulation when it happened.
Thanks for checking in and following up.

You can get more around the 6ish week mark when the baby burrows in deeper and could nick a blood vessel in the process - I’ve had bleeds at 11+5 and 13 weeks in my healthy pregnancies and they had no explanation for them and if the bleeding had stopped then I would take it all as a positive though if your concerned maybe consider a private scan or if you have an epu ask if they can do a scan for you

Thanks for your helpful perspective. I didn't realise implantation bleeding could carry on after that first phase, so that's really insightful to learn. 20 weeks, how exciting, you'll be heading towards the finish line in no time!
