The official advice on eating yoghurt in pregnancy
Good news! Yoghurt is safe to eat during pregnancy, as long as it's made with pasteurised milk.
Most yoghurt sold in shops and supermarkets in the UK is pasteurised, and is safe to eat. Unpasteurised yoghurt has to carry a warning label to say that it's unpasteurised.

Raw or unpasteurised yoghurt is sometimes sold in farmers' markets and farm shops. It can contain a form of bacteria called listeria, which can cause food poisoning.
You're more susceptible to food poisoning while you're pregnant. While it's unlikely to harm your baby, it can be very unpleasant, so it's best to avoid raw or unpasteurised yoghurt when you're pregnant.
