The official advice on eating tuna in pregnancy
Good news, it's safe to eat tuna in pregnancy. However you should limit the amount you eat.
The NHS says you should eat no more than two tuna steaks or four medium cans of tinned tuna a week. This is because tuna contains more mercury than other fish. Too much mercury can be harmful to your baby as it could affect the developing nervous system.
