The official advice on eating black pudding in pregnancy
Good news! Black pudding is safe to eat in pregnancy.
While it's made from blood, most black puddings are cooked during manufacture, however you should always cook it thoroughly just to be on the safe side. It's especially important to cook it well if you bought it from a deli counter as it may have come into contact with raw meat.
Raw meat can contain parasites that cause toxoplasmosis. While rare, toxoplasmosis can cause miscarriage.

Black pudding can be a good source of iron, which can be hard to get enough of while you're pregnant. It's often high in fat though, so look for lower fat options where possible.
