Hello all.
cutting a long story very short, my daughter is 13 and in 2023 was sexually assaulted by a older male (was reported to police and SS) prior to this she was caught out speaking and being explicit to boys of her own age in her school.
after a long 8 months of close intervention work, prevention work and being on mase meeting with SS (no issues with my parenting at all!!) we were closed last week. She was put on a safety plan which was going so well. had a change of school so a fresh start is essence!
it come to light my daughter has been using her younger siblings age 5 iPad to still continue to send these inappropriate pictures of herself to boys and boys online. I’m absolutely mortified and these boys have been sending these back too.
im at my wits end, I told her before if this was to happen again she’s going to live with her dad for a bit (we co-parent very well and have done for 12 years he’s regular contact with my daughter, and always has an input in decision making with myself)
im current 30weeks with my 5th baby and very both not very well at all.
am I a bad mom for sending her away to her dads? Will this go against me as a parent?
I feel so emotionally upset!
iv explained my reasons to her so she’s aware why iv done it, but I can’t have my younger children whitnessing this all again and copying her behaviours.
she lies constantly when we ask or find something out.
Hi Joanne
I'm Catherine, one of the Parent Supporters here at Netmums. I'm sorry to hear how tough things have been and I can hear how much you love your daughter. You also want to protect your younger children.. Have you been able to chat to her dad about what is going on? Joanne, would you consider contacting the NSPCC for some advice as well. I'll link their website here : Keeping children safe online | NSPCC Are you able to link back in with social services and police for support? Sorry for all the questions - I just want to make sure we are pointing you in the right direction for supports.
We are here to listen if you would like to chat some more.

Hello
yes we have been through and had intervention and therapy from NSPCC, base 25, Npower programme, social services, chissva and Black Country women’s aid.
yes she has so intense therapy and me and dad have agreed the same thing a change of environment,
dad and step mom do not have children so we believe the temptation is not going to be there with other devices.
yes social will be opening it back up due to how soon after another incident has happened since closing.
