Angelcare monitor not working

Hi all, I'm new here.

I just picked up an angel are AC401 movement and sound monitor. I've adjusted the settings to my wants but each time I turn it on or go back onto the settings there have not stored.

I'm pressing select each time, do I have a faulty monitor or am I doing something wrong?
