Seeking some insights from impartial perspective here. I'm a woman in my 30s, and I'm wrestling with feelings over a situation. He's 39.
Last summer I ended a long-term relationship with a guy due to commitment issues we had. He was upset, and promised to change. After a few months, I reached out as I really missed him, I expressed my difficulty in getting over him and my desire to rebuild trust slowly. We started talking daily, meeting quite often and he came to some big life events with me. I adjusted my work schedule to be able to see him more and we shared regular sexual photos/sexts and one night of intimate touching, but no sex.
Last week I asked would he like to come to my house for a movie and dinner, I hadn't invited him over since we broke up. I explained that I would like to take the next steps and he was shocked, he said he hadn't been thinking of us as ever being together again. This upset me, and I explained that the shared photos/sexts meant something to me. He said it was 'goofing around'.
I'm feeling pretty embarrassed/hurt here and trying to figure out if these actions were to lead me on? I'm not the type to be confrontational so it was a shock to both of us.
Yes he is stop seeing and block him on everything he does not want you he is enjoying himself you have put in the effort and he isn’t. It’s hard at first but do stuff you enjoy, it will pass but you need to have no contact delete all your pictures you have shared ask him to do the same.
I am sorry you felt lead on and all and I understand this can just be withdrawal symptoms of breaking up with someone you have known for a long time.
Howeber, and often times there is absolnongood that can come from recycling the relationship and doing it over again. He won’t change and if he doesn’t want to . You going back to him proves a point to him that he doesn’t have to change. If he wants to ( any man that is) he will make necessary efforts and then come to you.
it has happened now and since you have hear verbatim from the horses mouth, as hard and as painful it may sound and feel , it’s time to dust the little bit of self respect you have and move on.
Men respect women who don’t pin for them.
With time, self development, you will find the man for you!
He has definitely led you on. I would block him on everything as he doesn’t deserve your attention.

Thank you Michelle. He acted as though I overreacted and it made me doubt myself

Thank you Sarah-victoria for commenting. He is now not speaking with me, making me feel as though I have done something wrong. Ridiculous

Thank you Elaine. He said he didn't read the context of our sexting/meeting up. I'm not sure I can believe that
